The Station Café

We were at Cranmore for the East Somerset Railway Steam Gala. We had taken a picnic as we were warned there was a reduced menu and it was extremely busy last year. However, it was a very cold day and the thought of a cuppa and slice of cake as well as a warm up, "forced" us in. The team were working well with smiles all round and it was great to see the Cafe has recovered from the 3 recent flooding episodes. Always a great place to stop for lunch.

Great place to stop, incredible breakfasts and coffee

WOW , what a hidden gem. The station café is absolutely brilliant. This is my first time visiting this café and definitely will not be the last. I popped in as I was in the area and thought I would give it a go. I went for the full English breakfast and a mocha. This did not disappoint one bit, the mocha was nice but the breakfast is one of the best I have had in a long time, for those who follow me on instagram (travelmad999) you will know I like a good breakfast and this tasted lovely, so much so I told the staff. The staff could of not been more friendly and helpful and I will definitely be going back again. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The cafe was warm and clean and plenty of railway related items on the walls. Great place to go for a coffee after visiting the East Cranmore Railway which is in the same location , I’m sure I will be reviewing this very soon. I don’t normally write long reviews but this was so good I promise you that you won’t be disappointed

I love this place so much. The service from the staff is top notch. The food was delicious and the coffee is always excellent. Just what I needed on my way home from the airport. 47 nearly 48! Thanks for the service and smiles.

Excellent food and very friendly service, very impressed. Took Mum for lunch, she had the souvlaki, I had the Greek salad. It was all fresh, tasty and delicious and the flat bread was the best I have ever eaten. The cappuccinos were great too. We had a fun ride on the steam train, then went back to the cafe where we shared a cream tea. I can't wait to go back to try the cooked breakfast and the homemade cakes. Highly recommended.

Great menu and service well priced with the added bonus of a heritage Railway on site! Highly recommend the breakfast bap and four cheese toastie also the lunchtime specials.
